Infill

Technology Term

Definition

The term Infill is most commonly applied in Material Extrusion technology where the slicing software can define the percentage of solidity. This is usually defined as a percentage between 0 and 100, with 0% making a part hollow and 100%, completely solid.

This decision has a significant impact on the part's ultimate weight, its rigidity, its production time and its cost in terms of how much material is required.
