Summary

The Newron Tactile Pen departs from familiar round or angular barrels and embraces an organic form. Its grip is adorned with thoughtfully placed protrusions and flowing shapes, all designed to enliven the fingers. The intention is to gently stimulate the nerves in the fingertips, activating brain pathways in ways that a conventional pen cannot. Composed of three interchangeable segments, the pen lets users mix and match parts to achieve the right balance of comfort and stimulation.

Sustainability Rating

★☆☆

Can depend heavily on virgin fossil fuels, produce harmful emissions, and yield non-recyclable materials. Involves high energy consumption during material manufacturing. As an AM material, requires some re-processing after use. This rating relates to the technology type only. The design, purpose and longevity of the entire object can offset any of the technology type's negative sustainability credentials.
