The LEAP 71 Hypersonic Precooler is a 1.5 metre tall heat exchanger designed to enable Mach 5+ flight by "flash-cooling" superheated intake air before it reaches the engine. Developed using Noyron, an AI-driven computational engineering model, the device features a complex, 3D-printed fractal geometry that provides the massive surface area necessary for rapid thermal exchange.
